Wishing You the Merriest Holiday Season Ever!

This Christmas card was sent to me by Habitat for Humanity as part of a gift set, in the hopes that they can secure a donation from me. It features a snowman among some pine trees outside. He's wearing a black hat, a green scarf, a candy cane and 2 birds. He's also wearing green-tinted glasses. It's a cool card. I think I will send them a donation! Their website is www.habitat.org.

Barack Obama Christmas Cards

Now that Christmas is fast approaching and people are now out shopping for Christmas cards, I think that there is some excitement around the country and around the world about the future. Christmas in the White House will be hosted by George W. Bush this year, true. However, there is an excitement all around, thinking about when Barack Obama and Michelle Obama and their daughters will live in the White House, and share their first Christmas there.

Washington D.C. is a beautiful place, especially the Mall area. I would like to see some Christmas cards with the White House decorated for Christmas, or to see the Mall lit up. It would also be nice to see some Barack Obama Christmas cards- that would be interesting. Does anybody know of any? I would pay for those! Imagine- Christmas Trees and lights, toys and Barack Obama, snow and reindeer, all in one holiday card! Maybe I'll design some.

Peace and Joy to You This Holiday Season

This is another Christmas card from my very good friend John, who lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As usual, he personalized the card with a separate handwritten message, which you can see here. I like to save my Christmas cards, but, you know, if you ever needed to throw any away, you could never get rid of the personalized ones, could you?

A Card from Grandmother to my Mom

This is a Christmas Card given from my Grandmother (my Mom's mom) to my Mom for Christmas a few years back. My grandmother is deceased now, so the card is even more special when you read it. My Grandmother was really a loving person, and I'm sure that she chose this card carefully. This card was published by American Greetings.

May your home be filled with the warmth and love of the holiday season

This card was sent to me, along with several others, a couple of weeks ago by the American Health Assistance Foundation (AHAF). They are recruiting for donations for Alzheimer's research. This card is part of the AHAF Exclusive Collection. Copyright 2007 by Nicky Boehme/Applejack Art Partners. If you want to donate to AHAF, their website is www.ahaf.org. It's interesting how the lighting can change the mood of the card.
